PROGRAMS for TWEENS & TEENS
(Junior High and High School)
TBA August 7,2009, Wii Gaming Day for Tweens/Teens was held at the Atascadero Library. Approximately 12 teens showed up to take advantage of the gaming opportunity, and swapped turns swinging around the Wii-remote. The equipment was on loan from the Black and Gold Cooperative Library System. A good time was had by all teens.
May 2009: Greyhound Robotics - Atascadero High school. The 50 people in attendance enjoyed seeing "RAPTOR" (photo at right) collect basketballs in his floor-level elevator-type scoop, and deposit the balls up top, or shoot them out into an opponent's trailer. After seeing the demonstration, the children and teenagers entered the robot design/drawing contest. What fun! The AHS "future engineers of America" presented a very educational program! And we thank you. Visit www.greyhoud-robotics.com and go to the Media Page to see a video of the actual game.
