Ways to Help
You too can help the "Friends of the Library" support the library in various ways.
1. Come to our Bi-Monthly Book Sales: Saturday, December 6, 2008
When: First Saturday on even numbered months: February, April, June,
August, October, and December.
Time: Members Only: 8 - 9 AM
Public Sale: 9 - 2 PM
Where: Book House at 6907 Atascadero Ave., Atascadero, CA.
(It is located behind the Atascadero library).
2. Come to our "On-going" Books Sales: Look through our selection of "slightly read" books and magazines on sale in the library's lobby. There are some excellent buys.
3. Donate Your Used Books: The Library gratefully accepts donations of: books, videos & DVDs, audiotapes & CDs, and magazines (within 6 months). All donations shall be "like new." We cannot accept: textbooks, mildewed or water damaged items, old magazines, academic journals, and encyclopedias over 10 years old.
4. Buy a library T-Shirt.
5. Assist with the library's outside "Clean-up Day." Photo below: November 1, members of the Friends of the Library arrived on site with rakes, hoes, shovels, and garden clippers. Next time, come help -- it's fun!
6. Use your Albertson's Preferred Savings Card: An easy way to help the Atascadero Library is to do your grocery shopping at
Albertsons. Procedure: Print and complete the donation form below and take it
to your Albertson's grocery store check-out booth.
Each time you shop, use your Albertson's Preferred Savings Card, and Albertsons
will donate a portion of the sales to the Friends of the Atascadero Library through
its Community Partners Program.
